As you are a valued member of the disaster recovery and risk management community in the Philadelphia area, I would like to acknowledge the contributions that you have made to benefit us.

The business planning solutions that you and your colleagues have provided to our agency serve as a strong enhancement to our policies that were already in place.  Your ideas continue to make these plans and policies more robust as we are able to become more and more prepared.

In your role as an Executive Committee member of the Liberty Valley Association of Contingency Planners, you made several key introductions to area companies such as CIGNA, Day & Zimmermann and some other prominent area companies.  In addition, your appearance on WWDB business radio provided valuable information to many of our colleagues and business partners.

In late May, Jefferson Parish sponsored a Disaster Recovery seminar which was entitled “Not Just Hurricanes” – Preparing Your Business to Weather the Storm”.  This was presented to some 300 business organizations by Ralph Petti, MBCI, and President of RP Risk Advisors, LLC – a national risk management and disaster recovery planning organization.

This seminar was so popular that it quickly sold out and a second one was added on the following day.  Of the 300 attendees, nearly everyone stayed for the entire seminar to learn what else can affect your business – well beyond hurricanes.

At the seminar, RP Risk Advisors announced a disaster recovery offering costing an average of $100 per month.  This offering entitled the “Every Business Continuity Program” (EBCP) brings together three national companies featuring a comprehensive solution – CPACS disaster recovery planning software, the Edwards Disaster Recovery Directory and RP Risk Advisors consulting solutions to assist with the installation and customization of this solution to a company’s specific needs.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your outstanding contribution that you have made toward our area's Hurricane Preparedness. Your leadership efforts, as a member of the Bernards Township Chamber of Commerce, have contributed awareness to the needs of our community for hurricane protection. The people of south Louisiana have suffered greatly over the past year and will continue to recover in the years to come. It is very commendable that you, along with other members of your Chamber, met with the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC, in March 2006. Your support for our communities demonstrated that people outside of our area are aware of the events of Hurricanes Rita and Katrina and the situation that this has caused to the people of Louisiana. Not only did you attend meetings in Washington, DC, in support of the people of South Louisiana, but also traveled to our local coastal areas and conveyed the message back to the people of New Jersey that levees are needed now and should be funded as quickly as possible.

Your role as a consultant, instructor and contact point through your position as Senior Manager in the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning business, has provided valuable information that has enabled our local businesses to better prepare for Hurricanes or other events that might take place. South Louisiana is very fortunate to have had you working to help us in our recovery efforts and to prepare for the future. I truly thank you for all you have done to help Louisiana become an even better place for us to live.

On the first anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, I would like to thank you for your outstanding contributions both personnally and professionally towards our area's Hurricane preparedness.

As a member of the Bernards Township Chamber of Commerce, your leadership efforts have contributed awareness to the needs of our community for hurricane protection. I was especially impressed that you and other members of your Chamber met us in Washington, DC, in March 2006. Your presence in meetings with Senator John McCain, Senator Trent Lott, Senator Lisa Murkowski and Senator Mary Landrieu to garner support to build levees in our community showed that people outside of our area were aware of our crisis situation.

In addition, your visits to local coastal areas, such as Cocodrie, Port Fouchon and Grande Isle have helped to convey the message to our friends in New Jersey that levees are needed now and should be funded immediately.

As a Senior Manager in the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning business, your role as a consultant, instructor and contact point has provided valuable information that has enabled our businesses to better prepare for eventuality of additional calamities - such as Hurricanes and other events.

Ralph, in closing, our area has been enriched by your support and commitment. I thank you and am proud to call you a friend of the "Bayou Region".
